DESCRIPTION:A ride to the beach…..Torquay to be exact. Torquay is the gateway to the famed Surf Coast. We will meet at Cafe Metsa\, see above \, and depart by 10.00am. We’ll head toward Geelong and thread our way along the coast to Torquay. We’ll have lunch there and then head back to Melbourne via some back roads. Arrival back in Melbourne by 5.30pm. \nImportant: We will now be leaving Cafe Metsa at 10.00am Sunday. We’ll be riding up a couple of days before and back on the Monday following – Further Details Soon! \nIn 2018\, we celebrate the historic 40th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. 40 years on from the 1978 protest that was the inaugural Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras\, we look back at the evolution of the festival\, and to the sociological evolution of social justice for lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender\, queer and intersex peoples. \nOur extravagant 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade will celebrate four decades of love\, protest\, diversity\, acceptance\, activism\, pride\, family\, passion\, creativity\, drama and satire. 40 years of struggles\, triumphs and incredible adventures together. \nThis year’s theme is developed around the Evolution of Mardi Gras – How has your group changed and developed throughout its history at Mardi Gras? DESCRIPTION:MMT has been part of the Daylesford Chillout Festival Sunday Parade for many years and 2018 will be no exception.  \nThis year ChillOut is celebrating its 21st Birthday!!   So the theme for this year is all things birthday\, and: \n ‘Celebrating 21 years of being Out and Proud’ \nThe parade is at 10:30am so you will need to be in Duke Street by 9:30am. Due to recent years small amount of interest in a group ride to Daylesford\, this year no ride is planned\, please make your own way to Daylesford. A group ride can be planned if enough interest is shown.   \nAfter the March you are welcome to wonder the streets of Daylesford\, or continue onto Chillout Carnival in the local Show grounds where an entry fee is required to gain entry. \nPLEASE READ these notes / requirements from chill out:\nPlease be on time to Duke Street\, Daylesford from 9:30 am on Sunday March 11th\, as the Parade will begin at 10:30am SHARP – circuit two laps of the main shopping precinct and return to Duke Street to off load our floats.  \nTHE LEGALS:\n*Helmets are required.\n*Vehicles must be registered and insured and operated by an appropriate licensed driver. Please ensure your vehicle has a full tank of fuel\, its number plates are visible\, tyres are inflated and the vehicle is roadworthy.\n*Laws relating to the use of public space\, car registration\, driving under the influence\, the consumption of alcohol and other drugs all remain in place during the Parade. Police and ChillOut officials are on high alert for dangerous or illegal behaviour. Consider the law\, and consider the safety of those around you.\n*The following items are not allowed on the Parade Route or start area: fire\, open flames\, pyrotechnics (fireworks)\, flares\, fire batons\, fire breathing\, sparklers\, sparks\, welding\, weapons or imitation weapons\, hazardous or flammable goods and goods prohibited by law.  As the day of the parade may be declared as a total fire ban day\, no naked flames or spark-producing equipment are permitted.\n*ChillOut Street Parade is a public event and open to children. Your parade entry should be suitable for people of all ages.\n*Please be aware that your image may be photographed or recorded by electronic means and that by participating\, you agree to your image being used for any purpose without further consent\n*You agree to be bound by the conditions of entry (found on the chillout website) and that all participants in the Entry will follow the instructions of ChillOut Officials and Authorities at all times. \nAny question please feel free to ask. DESCRIPTION:• What we’ll doJoin us for leisurely ride up through the mountains to Gembrook Bakery and a tasty lunch! We’ll start off in North Melbourne heading over the rainbow and up the Mountain Hwy\, then working down past Emerald\, ’round the reservoir\, down to Beaconsfield and then back up to Gembrook where we’ll break for a tasty lunch at the Gembrook Bakery. We suggest bringing a bag to take home some yummy desserts! After loading up\, we’ll continue up and out of Gembrook\, wrapping around Launching Place and back over and through Emerald. We’ll end the day riding past Cardinia Reservoir before working back up to Belgrave where we’ll end the ride. Stops for morning and afternoon tea as well as taking in spectacular scenery can be anticipated for those on party business. \n• What to bringBring your bikes\, gear\, sunscreen\, a bag to take home treats\, and a sense of fun\, camaraderie and adventure. \n• Important to knowRide departs promptly at 10am (or after second breakfast\, whichever comes later. 😉 \n
